I\u2019m happy to say I\u2019m headed off for Jordan Con this month.\nFor those who don\u2019t know, Jordan Con is a fantasy and science fiction\nliterature convention named after Robert Jordan, the late writer of the Wheel\nof Time series. While it\u2019s named after the author and his flagship series, it\u2019s\nactually about the genre in general, which is how sci-fi has sneaked in\nthere. Fans of one are quite often fans\nof the other \u2013like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2019 Jordan Con<\/a>\nis happening in Atlanta, Georgia, April 26-28. If this is the kind of\nconvention you enjoy, please attend! You can view the featured\nguests here<\/a> and the guests of\nhonor here<\/a>. Plenty of Wheel of Time fans make this their event of the year.\nIt\u2019s also a favorite for people who just love the genre. There will be author\npanels, visual media artists, and immersive guest events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I hope to attend as many of the planned activities as\npossible, but I will be spending most of my time at Jordan Con\u2019s Authors Alley\nwhere I will have a table with my books<\/a>. This will be\nmy second book show since finishing my first series. While the first book show\nwas good, it was a general audience rather than a targeted one. I am\nanticipating the convention not just to sell books. Yes, it\u2019s lots of fun to\nsell them and is rewarding. However, I also look forward to connecting with\nother authors in my genre and meeting the attendees who enjoy the same books\nthat I do. I\u2019m expecting it to be a good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If this sounds like something you would like to attend, be sure to buy tickets<\/a> sooner than later, and definitely book you accommodations right away.
